As chairman of Harvest International, Inc., and managing director for Business-Link Consultancy PTE LTD., Harvey Goldstein has maintained a prolific international business career, with ties in Indonesia and his current location, Singapore, plus the rest of Southeast Asia. Harvey Goldstein's nearly half-century career has also included work with Resources Management International, Inc., an Indonesia-based technology training and management firm, as well as work in science and engineering. Throughout the early 1960s, he worked in the field of engineering, developing remote-controlled testing gear for NASA's Nimbus satellites.
The Nimbus program was first launched in 1964 to monitor atmospheric conditions throughout both the day and night. Equipped with microwave and infrared radiometers, a Coastal Zone Color Scanner, and ozone mappers, the satellites provided data regarding the Earth's ice and sea coverage, radiation levels, temperatures, and atmospheric makeup.
The Nimbus series started with Nimbus 1, followed by Nimbus B and Nimbus models 4-7, all of which were weather satellites with varying objectives.
