The Johns Hopkins Center for Talented Youth identifies academically talented students and provides educational opportunities to help these students make substantial contributions to the world. Past students assisted by the center include the founder of Facebook and a co-founder of Google.
Candidates for the center are discovered through an annual talent search that identifies students’ academic promise. Once chosen, students can then enroll in a summer program that provides challenging academic work. The program also offers the opportunity to connect with other students who share a passion for learning. Bringing bright students together in a social setting is as beneficial to the students as the academic development provided by the program.
